The engine

Introduction

The engine of the 1972 VW Beetle (short-block). During the winter period I could not work in the storage space because there was no heating. In this period I started working on the engine. First I build myself an engine stand to mount the engine on. After that I took the engine apart.
I have all the parts for a 1835 cc engine but for now the standard 1200 cc should be enough.

Took all the parts of the engine and cleaned everything.

The rebuild engine for the 1972 VW Beetle. I removed the heating duct and welded the holes shut. I cleaned all the sheet metal and painted the tins. The engine is a standard 1200 cc engine with a few alterations like the air filter and the Stinger exhaust without a silencer.

The rebuild engine installed in the 1972 VW Beetle. I used new gaskets alround and filled the engine with new oil. I cleaned the transmission and changed the oil also. I moved the ignition coil to the rear of the fan housing. I started the work on the rear bumper.
